Clown Bar

Don’t miss

The bone marrow gratin and any seasonal small plate

A jewel-box bistro with circus-themed tiles, serious natural wines, and inventive small plates.

Why we love it

The ceramic clown tiles date from 1902, but the cooking is entirely modern. Under Sota Atsumi, the small plates are precise and surprising — think sea urchin with brown butter, or pigeon with cherry. The natural wine list is one of the best in Paris, and the room feels like eating inside a work of art. Reserve or try your luck at the bar.
