Don’t miss
A café crème on the terrace — the view is the experience
♦
“The legendary Left Bank café — yes it's touristy, but the hot chocolate and people-watching are unmatched.”
Why we love it
Sartre and Beauvoir's old haunt has become a tourist landmark, and the prices reflect it. But here's the thing: the chocolat chaud is genuinely the best in Paris (thick, dark, served with a small pitcher of cream), and sitting on the terrasse watching Boulevard Saint-Germain still feels like a movie. Go once, at least. Preferably on a grey afternoon.
