Don’t miss
The Moroccan couscous stand — always a long queue, always worth it
♦
“Paris's oldest covered market — skip the tourist traps, head straight for the Moroccan stand.”
Why we love it
Dating from 1615, this tiny market is charming but requires navigation. Skip the overpriced crêpe stands near the entrance and head to the back: the Moroccan couscous stall has a permanent queue for good reason, the Japanese bento is excellent, and the Italian stand does proper pasta. Come for lunch on a weekday to avoid the worst crowds.
